Detailed Itinerary for Sri Lanka 13 Nights/14 Days Tour

Day 1 – Airport / Colombo Travel Time approximately 45 MIN

Our professional Chauffeur Guide will welcome you upon your arrival at the Bandaranayke International Airport and will be transferred to your hotel in the largest city and commercial capital of Sri Lanka, Colombo. Check into your hotel and relax after your flight and get ready for an amazing holiday as part of this Sri Lanka 14 day tour package.

Day 2 – Colombo/ Dambulla Travel Time approximately 4 ½ to 5 HRS

After breakfast in Volombo, proceed to Sigiriya which is situated within the cultural triangle. On arrival in Habarana, check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3 – Dambulla/Sigiriya Travel Time approximately 30 MIN

After breakfast proceed to climb the world famous ancient rock fortress of Sigiriya which is also a UNESCO world heritage site. The Sigiriya Rock Fortress is known as the 8th wonder of the world which was built by King Kasyapa in the 5th century A.D. and was a royal citadel for more than 18 years. You will have the opportunity to engage on an exciting village trek on a bullock cart through the village of Hiriwaduna in Sigiriya giving you the experience of the local culture and tradition and the warmth of Sri Lankan hospitality. You will be taken on a bullock cart ride through a banana plantation where you can taste and savour the ripe bananas there. Afterwards you will be crossing a scenic reservoir in an traditional boat which is called the “oruwa” to visit a chena cultivation. On the way back, you will be dropping by a local villager’s house to experience a traditional meal on to a banana leaf and take it to the paddy field to enjoy. On completion return to your hotel.

Day 4 – Dambulla/Polonnaruwa Travel Time approximately 1 to 1 ½ HRS

After breakfast proceed to visit the historic city of Polonnaruwa. Polonnaruwa was the first capital city of Sri Lanka which was declared by King Vijayabahu. Today Polonnaruwa is known to be one of the best planned archaeological sites in Sri Lanka. This historic city of Sri Lanka is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
